What Is Yoga?
Linking movement and breath, yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India thousands of years ago.
It is a chakra based system of movement that provides the practitioner with enhanced flexibility, stability, balance, and mental clarity.
An ideal practice for everybody and every BODY, yoga is a mind/body practice that asks the practitioner to be present in the moment, to experience the sensations of their body, and to focus their attention on their breath.
How Can Yoga Help Me?
Yoga is an ideal medium for stress release and enhanced mental focus, providing not only a workout for the body, but a sense of discipline, and an attention to, the mind.
The principles learned on the mat- stamina, tenacity, flexibility, humor, and joy- can all be applied to your surrounding world. Yoga is not just a workout routine, but rather a system of kind and gentle principles with which to live.
Available Yoga Styles
Vinyasa, power vinyasa, hatha, pre and post natal, yin, and restorative yoga are all styles offered by Rise Wellness.
